Firefly Aerospace, which belongs to the Ukrainian, first launched into space rocket Alpha (video)

After several transfers, the rocket successfully launched three satellites that are already transmitting signals to the ground. On October 1, American Firefly Aerospace first sent an Alpha rocket developed by Ukrainian Maxim Polyakov into space. The company reported this on its Twitter page. Firefly Aerospace was to launch a rocket on September 30 from the Wandenberg Air Force in California, the United States, planned a broadcast and even prepared engines, but at the last moment it curled up.

The press service reported about the emergency interruption system that worked after the inflammation, the team checked the systems, became convinced of their serviceability and waited for the next "window" a day. The company has now declared a successful completion of the mission. The rocket climbed into the sky, reached the Earth's orbit and delivered three "useful loads" (Payloads) - so called satellites and other equipment that is installed on board. Alpha load capacity is 1 170 kg.

"Customers have confirmed the signal," Firefly Aerospace wrote. The space company called the mission of Alpha Flight 2: to the Black, hinting at the second attempt to get the rocket in orbit after the failure in September 2021 - the engine suddenly switched off in flight. In 2022 there was an attempt to send a rocket to space on September 11, but then before the start in the system, the pressure of helium fell sharply, and after the weather.

Alpha rocket was created by a team led by Ukrainian entrepreneur Maxim Polyakov, who bought Firefly's assets for $ 75 and invested almost $ 200 million in its development. In 2018, the firm was permitted to use a starting platform at the US Air Force Air Force Vanderberg. In 2020, Firefly Aerospace concluded a contract of almost $ 10 million with NASA with a satellite launch. At the end of 2021, the US government demanded that Maxim Polyakov sell his share in Firefly.
