"This is not something that will completely violate the infrastructure of the Russian Federation," Kasperskaya says.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Council of Development of the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation Herman Klimenko warned that Russians could block smartphones on iOS and Android. According to him, abandoning automatic updates can save devices from lock, but they will become more vulnerable to hackers and viruses. In Russia, they decided to create an analogue of Google Play so that Android smartphones do not turn into "brick".
