The Bolivia national team summoned Shakhtar's defender for a match in Russia: in the club reacted

The list of players who will participate in friendly matches against Jordan and Russia, also indicates Diego Arroo. Director of the Department of Sports Management of FC Shakhtar Vitaliy Khlovnyuk denied that the football player will play in the Russian Federation. Khlovnyuk confirmed that Arroyo received a call from Bolivia national team to participate in two matches.

According to him, the football player will join the location of the national team after completing the Shakhtar - LNZ duel, scheduled for October 5. By agreements between the club, the Bolivia Football Federation and the athlete himself, Diego will only play in the match with Jordan on October 10, and then return to Ukraine. He must arrive in Lviv on October 11. The match in Russia, according to the announcement of the Bolivia Football Federation, is scheduled for October 14.

"The position of the club and the player himself is agreed and clear: Diego will not go to the capital of the aggressor state and will not participate in the match planned there," said Shakhtar's sports management department. The future defender of Donetsk club Diego Arroyo was born on April 29, 2005 in Santa Cruz in Bolivia, and studied at the Tauichi Aguilera football Academy. In July 2023, Arroyo went to FC "Bolivar" (La Pas)-the most titled club of the country.

He made his debut for the main team of Bolivar on September 26, 2024, and the same year became the champion of Bolivia. On February 7, 2025, the Bolivian moved to Shakhtar to the position of the Central Defender. The club states that Diego "plays head well".
