Tactics of the Armed Forces

The Khortytsia OGV speaker Viktor Tregubov noted that the Russians can no longer afford to use the tactics of direct assaults of large Ukrainian cities, as it was in Mariupol or Bakhmuta before. Pokrovsk remains one of the most important strategic points on the front line, but Russian troops do not dare to carry out large -scale frontal storms. This was stated by the spokesman of the operational-strategic group of Khortytsa troops, Major Victor Tregubov.

According to the serviceman, Russian troops can no longer afford to use the tactics of direct storms of major Ukrainian cities, as it was in Mariupol or Bakhmuta before. The main reason is the significant losses incurred as a result of previous fighting. "They understand that city battles in Pokrovsk can become a real" meat grinder ", especially given that the city is well fortified and protected by experienced Ukrainian defenders," the speaker said.

The Russian army has already faced the catastrophic consequences of the use of "offensive waves" in city battles. Losses in Mariupol, Bakhmut, Kurakhov, Toretsk and Temporal ravine have proven the ineffectiveness of this approach. These operations led to the destruction of a large number of personnel, including unprepared recruits. So now Russian troops choose a strategy of bypass and environment Pokrovsk, trying to achieve their goals without direct clashes.
