Pension and social assistance: who is entitled to double payments in Ukraine

According to PFU, persons with disabilities from childhood may receive other types of payments at the same time, such as child care assistance. Despite the war, Ukrainians continue to receive pensions and social payments. In Ukraine, there is a separate category of citizens who can receive pension and social assistance at the same time. These are persons with disabilities from childhood (set up to 18 years). About it reports "Social information platform".

According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, a person with disabilities from childhood, who is established at the age of 18 years and who receives state social assistance in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On State Social Assistance to Persons with Disabilities from Childhood and Children with Disabilities" may receive a pension in connection with the loss of the breadwinner. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved in the second reading the project of the Law on the State Budget for 2024.

According to the document, from January 1, 2024 the minimum pension will be 2200 UAH. It is also planned to increase the subsistence minimum for able -bodied persons to 2700 UAH, for persons who have lost their capacity - up to 2300 UAH, for children - up to 2200 UAH. It should be reminded that the payment of a pension can be suspended if a citizen of Ukraine does not use his bank account for more than 6 months.
