Acting Mayor Chernihiv Lomako stated that according to preliminary data, 17 people were injured: 6 people were killed, 11 was injured. Information on the consequences of the shelling is clarified.

The first reports of Chernihiv rocket firing appeared on the network at 11:40. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the shelling and stated that the enemy hit the city center where peaceful people were located.

According to preliminary data from the chairman of the Chernihiv Ova Vyacheslav Chaus, the enemy could use Iskander's ballistic missile. Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko reported that 42 people were injured from the impact. 37 people were injured, 11 of them children. According to him, 5 people were killed.
