Ukraine has completely abandoned the supply of spare parts for nuclear reactors from the Russian Federation and was able to replace them with its own production or production in partner countries. According to Kotin, MMR is a promising direction and subsequently nuclear technologies that "supply both capacity, electricity, equipment, and components for MMR to other countries. The document has declared a plan for setting up to 20 SMR reactors in Ukraine. In September 2023, Ukraine first loaded Westinghouse nuclear fuel into the Vver-440 reactor of Rivne NPP.

American fuel will operate in the active area of ​​the reactor with the Russian, with its subsequent replacement.
