Prime Minister Kiriakos Michotakis said that Greece cannot hand over to Ukraine ...

Greece refused to transfer Ukraine to Ukraine despite the pressure of the European Union - FT

Prime Minister Kiriakos Michotakis said that Greece cannot hand over to Ukraine weapons that are critically important for its own security. Greece will not transmit Ukraine Patriot and C-300 to Ukraine as it can jeopardize its safety. This was announced on April 23 by Prime Minister Kiriakos Michotakis, Financial Times reports. According to him, Greece supported Ukraine with defense equipment in various ways.

"But from the very beginning, we have stated that we cannot convey the weapons systems that are critical for our ability to restrain," Michotakis said. According to Bulgarianmilitis, at a summit in Brussels last week, EU leaders called on Spain and Greece to transfer part of their air defense systems to Ukraine. The reason for this was the confidence that the needs of Athens and Madrid in air defense are much less urgent compared to the needs of Kiev.

Pavlos Marinakis, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers, said Greece would not take any actions that can potentially endanger its defense capability. According to journalists, Greece has 36 Patriot installations. For the first time the country received this weapon in the mid-1990s. We will remind, earlier the media reported that Greece could transfer Patriot to Ukraine.
