For electronic attacks on the Russian Federation and China: US Air Force will receive new compass Call assault

Compass Call EA-37B is designed to suppress communication, radar and navigation systems, as well as enemy air defense, blocking the relationship between weapons and management networks. Next financial year, the US Air Force is planning to replenish its arsenal with five radio electronic aircraft (HRS) EA-37B Compass Call from L3Harris, replacing the outdated EC-130H park, Defense News reports.

The first of the five EA-37B aircraft was delivered to the Air Force last year-two years later than planned. Supply of the first ready -made aircraft is expected to fulfill the real missions of the aircraft. Compass Call is designed to suppress the enemy signals, including communication systems, radar and navigation, as well as air defense, blocking the relationship between weapons and control networks.

The aircraft is equipped with hardware and software, which gives pilots the opportunity to break wireless devices, neutralize roadside bombs and more. The 43rd Electronic Battle Squadron in Davis Montana will first switch to a new Compass Call. The model also has a glider form factor-Gulfstream G550. It is equipped with advanced electronic equipment for attacks.

This aircraft rises to a height of more than 12 km and flies at a speed of almost 965 km/h, which is almost twice and faster than the EU-130n predecessor. It is known that in addition to the outdated EC-130H, the Air Force plans to replace many ten years ago aircraft with more functional versions that can be well manifested in future conflicts with opponents who have advanced weapons like China. In November, the service stated that she has now abandoned 9 of the 14 old compass call models.

The budget also includes an additional $ 15 million per operation and support of the Compass Call program, including the placement of new aircraft and storage of written off. The EC-130H, which was the support of the US Central Command, provides a crew of 13 people, including two pilots, navigator, flight engineer, commander and mission leader, signal analyst and several cryptological language analysts.
