From rockets to fighters: Polish experts named how to protect Ukrainian F-16 from the Russian Federation

Russian airplanes have air-air missiles up to 400 km away, their missiles fly thousands of kilometers as well as drones. As a result, it all makes the existence of the F-16 in the aircraft of the Armed Forces complicated and dangerous. Ukraine will receive Western F-16 fighters in the near future. However, they will face the powerful air-space forces of the Russian Federation, which have advanced avionic and weapons.

The Polish Defense 24 assumed that Ukrainian pilots will have to fight SU-30, SU-34, Su-35 and potentially SU-57. Western partners will transfer F-16 AM and BM fighters to Ukraine, which will have sensors and weapons that will make the machines dangerous on the battlefield. Together with Dlo aircraft, they will be a complete 4+ generation aircraft. However, the Russian Federation also has Su-30cm/cm2, Su-35C, Su-34 and Su-57.

The latest versions of the F-16 or F/A-18 could surpass Russian aviation, but are not given them at this time. Raders An/APG-68 can improve the situation. Under relatively equal conditions, much depends on the skills of pilots. The Ukrainian ace did not fought for the F-16, so Polish experts believe that foreign pilots would be the best solution. However, the event is unlikely to take such a step. Therefore, Ukraine should count on its strength and preparation for the protection of the F-16.

The occupiers will try to strike bases with aircraft, track their movement of the country. They will also use rockets and drones, and on aircraft aircraft "Air-air-air" R-37 with a range, according to various data, from 150 to 400 km. In order to improve the condition for the F-16, Ukraine has been destroying Russian air defense and detection. The F-35 will not become F-35 with all this, and therefore the air forces will have to use the fighter jets.
