Russian military analysts conclude that the classic use of tanks on the battlefield becomes ineffective, and proposes to focus on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), managed aviation bombs (CA) and long -range missiles. Such conclusions are contained in the article of the head of the Russian "Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technology" (CAS) Ruslana Pukhov, which was spread by Russian media.
Pukhov notes that modern conditions of fighting exclude the traditional principle of concentration of forces in the main direction of impact, since the battlefield has become "completely transparent" for drones. As a result, any accumulation of troops immediately becomes a goal for fire damage. This forces Russian troops to act in small groups, and the use of tanks is possible only with insufficient density of Ukrainian drones in specific areas of the front.
The material states that the modern war clearly demonstrates a decrease in the efficiency of tanks as a means of direct fire. In the context of the saturation of the UAV battlefield and high -precision means of the defeat, the tanks become a vulnerable target before entering the border of the attack. At the same time, infantry (BMPs) remain the most sought after, Pukhov considers, acting as mobile transport for the assault groups of infantry.
The analyst also points out that the ratio of "cost/efficiency" FPV-oules has led to a sharp increase in their numbers on the battlefield. As a result, not only traditional manned aviation, but also reconnaissance UAVs, such as Bayraktar TB2 and Russian Orion, lose their dominant importance. As a strategy in response, Pukhov proposes Russia to rely on managed airlines, drones and long -range missiles.
According to his concept, aircraft with cabin should perform the task of "isolation of the battlefield", and the main fighting should conduct assault detachments with the support of UAV operators. Commenting on the article of Pukhov Analysts, Defense Express noted that the enemy provides a simple formula for further fighting. It involves the combination of small assault units of infantry and drones, while the aviation strikes are regarded as a tool for isolation on the battlefield.
