The base version of AGM-158A has a range of up to 370 km and the fighting part of WDU-42/b weighing 450 kg. These missiles are compatible with the F-16, which is important in the context of the receipt of these fighters to Ukraine.

The main tactical and technical characteristics of AGM-158B Jassm-ER at the same time in the arsenal of Americans for deep blows are other types of long-range weapons. It is about AGM-154 JSOW-a high-precision planning bomb from Raytheon. Despite a limited range, up to 130 km when dropped from a height, in 2024 the possibility of refining a bomb to the JSow-ER version with a turbojer engine was discussed. Such a modification could reach a range up to 550 km.

Although this version did not go into the series, significant reserves of JSow bombs make this solution by a potential alternative to Jassm. Less chances are the transmission of a promising launch of the land base of PRSM (Precision Strike Missile) with a range of more than 500 km and a fighting part of 91 kg. It runs from the Himars starting, but has only recently been launched into mass production.

Finally, Tomahawk missiles with a range of 1600 km, which were discussed in October 2024 in the context of the Victory Plan, remain an almost unlikely option. However, since the fall of last year, no one has mentioned this weapon.
