"Our central task." Sholtz promised that Germany would continue supplying weapons to Ukraine

Germany will continue to support Ukraine with weapons to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, said Chancellor Olaf Soltz. "Our central task is to do everything to support Ukraine," he said during a briefing with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He stressed that Berlin is already supplying weapons and provides funds to Ukraine. Also, he said, German weapons change the situation at the front and help Ukrainians defend themselves from blows from the air.

Video of the Day "We understand the possibility of further escalation, so we make an important promise: we will continue to support Ukraine with further supply of weapons," the Chancellor stressed. Earlier, the media reported that the German government has been ignoring Ukraine's request for additional weapons supply for several months. The Bundestag deputies themselves have repeatedly urged to increase military assistance to Kiev.
