Mexico volunteers study in the Armed Forces to kill drones and pass this knowledge to drug cartels - the media

To spread: some volunteers from Mexico, who are fighting on the side of Ukraine, joined the Armed Forces to learn how to manage drones, and then transfer this knowledge to criminal organizations at home. Mexican intelligence services turned to the Security Service of Ukraine, writes the French edition of Intelligence Online. It is noted that the National Intelligence Center (CNI) of Mexico has submitted the SBU with a confidential note on Mexican volunteers early this summer.

The text of the note states that some of the volunteers have joined the international legion of GUR to gain advanced skills in the use of FPV-auctions. After receiving a note of the SBU, an investigation together with GUR, which affected not only the Mexicans, but also the Colombians who serve in the international legion, in particular, in the secret unit of Tactical Group Ehos.

According to journalists, Ukrainian investigators allegedly suspected that some volunteers in Mexico and Colombia intentionally sought to get to the training centers for the training of FPV operators, bypass the initial checks and transfer the acquired skills to transnational criminal organizations. "We have received volunteers with good intentions. But it should be admitted that Ukraine has become a global platform for spreading FPV tactics.

Some come here to learn how to kill $ 400 with a drone, and then sells that knowledge to those who pay more," said one of the SBU leaders. The authors of the material noted that several Mexicans and Columbians were very interested in learning work with drones and ignored all other forms of training. One of these volunteers, whom the SBU called Aguila-7, joined the Legion in March 2024 under a fake Salvadore.

Aguila-7 passed the full cycle of preparation in drones in Lviv, where instructors have paid attention to its high initial level of training. He freely possessed analog transmitters, found thermal "blind zones" and provided radio electronic countermeasures. However, according to Intelligence Online, it turned out that this fighter was probably a member of Gafe-a Mexican special unit, whose former members were founded by Los Setas.

In addition, the sources of the newspaper reported that at least three former FARC fighters (Kolumbia rebel organization) were also passed through an international legion using Panama and Venezuelan documents. To transport such people across the border is allegedly assisted by drug cards - they finance and organize legalization, as well as lay routes through Slovakia or Moldova.
