"Very professionally": the Council explained why the Armed Forces managed to stop the offensive of the Russians on Pokrovsk

To spread: according to Roman Kostenko, if Ukraine did not pull Russian reserves into other directions, it is unknown whether Pokrovsk would be under the control of the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to stop the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Pokrovsk thanks to Kursk operation, which forced the enemy to redirect their forces.

Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, said this in a comment to RBC Ukraine. "If the activity goes in one of the directions, then in the other direction, the enemy cannot be actively active in all directions. We see throughout the war, if the enemy is involved somewhere, then other directions are not so active. We saw as Pokrovsk - then Kursk stood, now on the contrary, then Pokrovsk became.

He specified that the offensive of the Russians on the Pokrovsk Armed Forces was stopped at Andrew Gnat, whom Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed the head of the General Staff on March 16. "There is a great merit that he stopped this offensive on Pokrovsk. After him, General Mikhail Dropaty has already intercepted this case. Now he also holds the enemy honestly, very professionally," Kostenko said. According to him, both Dropaty and Gnatov are professional generals.
