Soon the war of autonomous drones will begin: the scientist called the weaknesses of UAV of Ukraine

Most FPV-oues are vulnerable to the HR, but this problem is solved by artificial intelligence systems. There are three factors that still prevent them from applying them. Ukrainian unmanned devices have an advantage over Russian, in particular through advanced technological solutions, but they need protection against HRB. The teacher of NTUU "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky", Candidate of Technical Sciences Yevgeny Kovalenko told this in an interview with the Armyinform.

According to Kovalenko, FPV drones are considered one of the main instruments of war, both for Ukraine and for the Russian Federation. These drones are controlled by the camera, and they are distinguished by high maneuverability and relative cheapness. The fact that the operator can control the flight of the drone until the moment of impact, significantly increases the accuracy of contact, especially for moving purposes.

That is why, according to the expert, the Russian Federation seeks to introduce a modem with a SIM card in a "Shahda", turning them into an FPV counterpart. The invaders want these drones not only at a predetermined course, but also adjust the operators in real time, if necessary. At the same time Kovalenko also mentioned the weak side of the FPV-aroma-radio communication, without which they cannot work. Dumpling a signal or even a delay can lead to stopping, falling or accident.

In addition, it is enough to suppress at least one frequency of two (control or video). The expert noted that one of the ways of protection from the FPV-aroma may be a device that monitors the radio and reports of the appearance of new signal sources in it. It gives time to turn on the edges or hide in time.

According to the expert, the decision to protect the drone from the HRs may be the introduction into the drone of artificial intelligence (AI), which allows to reduce, and even completely exclude the role of a person in the management of the drone. It can be, as a auto -retaining target for which the operator needs to direct the drone from afar, specifying which element of the picture to consider the target and the complete autonomous orientation of the drone.

Speaking of why the technologies mentioned are not massively set on drones, Kovalenko identified several factors: "Of course, all these restrictions will be able to overcome quickly. - Or completely autonomous drones, "Kovalenko summed up.

We will remind, according to the serviceman of the Armed Forces and specialist in radio communications Sergiy Narry from April 24, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation use drones-rethranslators, which transmit signals from the remote of the UAV operator and back, thus increasing the range of communication.
