The Russian Federation showed a new mortar mini-rocket "soloist": what is a dangerous ammunition (photo)

To spread: According to the developers, it is a hybrid type of weapon, which combines the principles of operation of the drone and controlled anti -tank missile. Experts noted that this is the case, for example, the Israeli SPIKE missiles. Russian engineers of the Izlar Electromechanical Plant (KEMZ) presented the development of "Saltist", which is a hybrid of a drone and corrected ammunition with a jet engine.

Russian media reported that the ammunition had already been tested at one of the landfills in the occupied territory of Donetsk region. It is noted that weapons are designed to damage armored vehicles and can be used by infantry units. The development combines the functions of mortar and anti -tank managed rocket (PTKR), but is not a complete drone.

The launch is carried out on a mortar principle, after which the operator, using the FPV remote and glasses, adjusts the ammunition flight at the final stage. It emphasizes that after the guidance, it is not controlled in flight, but is only adjusted in the trajectory. In their comments, Defense Express observers noted that the concept of managed ammunition with television television is not new. On this principle, Israeli missiles SPIKE, French Akeron and Iranian ALMAS work.

Moreover, in some versions of Iranian reactive Ababil ammunition having a range of more than 80 km, a similar guidance system is also used. Analysts also emphasized that the effectiveness of this type of weapons depends on the skill of the operator, but the "soloist" can in the future get the technology of "machine vision", and then this nuance will be offset. As for the mass production of ammunition, it can be established in the summer of this year.
