The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation did not advance under Avdiivka, but pose a threat of operational level in the time ravine - ISW

According to analysts, the Russians will probably need a long pause to strengthen their units and transfer additional forces to the Ocheretin area, if the offensive is planned on Ukrainian positions near Toretsk. On April 30, Russian troops did not achieve confirmed offensives in the Avdiivka area - it happened for the first time in recent times. According to Ukrainian sources, attacks in the direction of Bakhmut - the Yar had been more than in the area west of Avdiivka.

About it reports "Institute of War Study" in the summary of April 30. In the morning and evening reports of the General Staff of April 30, it was stated that during the Armed Forces, a total of 47 attacks in the Avdiivsky direction and 57 were reflected in Bakhmut. According to ISW estimates, further Russian troops can go in the northern direction, along the road Donetsk - Konstantinovka, after the tactical level near the reed.

Thus, the positions of the Defense Forces in the area of Toretsk can create an additional load and possibly the threat of operational level west of the time ravine. The time of the ravine seems to be an operational significant area: its admiration would be given by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for a ground offensive on Druzhkivka and Konstantinovka, which form a belt from cities-fortresses in Donetsk region.

Russian troops will probably need a long pause to strengthen their units and transfer additional forces to the Ocheretin area, if they plan to attack north, in the area of Toretsk. According to the observer Konstantin Mashovts, the group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "Center", which is now responsible for the area of Avdiivka, has accumulated a tactical reserve of three small infantry regiments.
