Dariya Zarivna discussed with the Lithuanian Ambassador to strengthen international cooperation for the return of Ukrainian children stolen by Russia

Advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, the operating director of the Bring Kids Back UA Initiative Dariya Zarivna met with the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Lithuanian Republic to Ukraine Inga Stanimette. Dariya Zarivna informed about the key directions of Bring Kids Back UA initiative and its priorities for the coming year. In particular, it was about the development of the reintegration system of children returning to Ukraine.

“Returning a child to Ukraine is only the first step. The child needs not only safety, but also care, support and healing opportunities, ”said Bring Kids Back UA operating director. Particular attention was paid to the topic of the initial list of stolen children, which the Ukrainian side handed over to Russian representatives during negotiations in Istanbul in early June.

"If the Russian side wants to demonstrate the seriousness of its intentions, it should return at least a few children from the list," Daria Zarivna stressed. She noted that public support from partner countries could be crucial for returning these children. Also, during the meeting, they discussed the implementation of the Safe Pathways Home initiative as part of the Montreal obligation.
