"Could not fly from the Russian Federation and Belarus": a rocket that fell in Poland was Ukrainian - the media

According to Polish journalists, Ukraine allegedly did not cooperate with the investigation and did not provide the case file for its part. The rocket, which fell in the Polish village of Perevodów) on November 15, 2022, was a Ukrainian air defense missile. This conclusion was reached by Polish investigators who investigate this incident, reports Rzeczpospolita on September 26.

Lukash Lapchynsky, a pressecretic of the National Prosecutor's Office, confirmed that they received the experts, but because of its secrecy they do not reveal its content. He also added that their investigative work within the country is now completed, and they are waiting for answers to a request for legal assistance from Ukraine.

Polish journalists point out that experts' opinion is based on numerous sources and includes comprehensive classified conclusions of national services, and also relies on data from the military-technical institute of weapons, whose specialists worked at the site of the rocket fall. According to this conclusion, the missile that fell in the village of Perevodi was a missile type C-300 5-W-55 Russian production.

The prosecutor's office also claims that the known place from which the Ukrainian air defense was launched, and this place is carefully guarded. Investigative representatives reject the version that the rocket had been released from Russia or Belarus, since the range of this rocket would not allow it to reach the Polish village from these places. Thus, they came to the conclusion that the rocket was released from the territory of Ukraine.

At the same time, journalists declare the alleged lack of cooperation by Ukraine, which "has not yet provided Poland. " On November 15, 2022, during massive missile attacks on Ukraine, two rockets fell in the village of Perevoda, the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland. As a result, two people were killed: 60-year-old Boguslav VOS and 62-year-old Bogdan Chupec, who worked at a local agricultural enterprise. Men have been friends for many decades and, unfortunately, died together.

On November 17, Ukrainian experts arrived at the scene of the rocket to take part in an independent investigation into the incident. The parties have reached the joint work agreement during the investigation, demonstrating their readiness for open interaction.

However, on November 25, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba noted that Kyiv did not receive sufficient evidence that the missile that had fallen in the Polish village of Perevodi was launched from the air defense system of Ukraine.
