The Russians try to install a flamethrowed system on the T-80 or wheel tank chas...

In the Russian Federation, they said that the issue of Tos-1A "SolnPepke" was increased by 250%: what it means-analysts

The Russians try to install a flamethrowed system on the T-80 or wheel tank chassis. At the same time, during the Russo-Ukrainian War, they lost almost half of the installations that had before the invasion. During the visit of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the Uralvagonzavod leadership reported on the increase in the release of thermobaric artillery tos-1A "Solnacek" 2. 5 times, ie 250%.

Russians are unlikely to be able to produce a hundred guns a year, but the statement indicates the emergence of new problems for Ukrainians on the battlefield. The achievements of the Russian military-industrial complex were told in the Telegram-channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The report of the defense department states that in the statements of "Uralvagonzavod" it is about increasing productivity in 2023, compared to 2022.

How many devices are manufactured, not specified. Instead, they explained what three factors have succeeded: they increased production facilities, work around the clock in two shifts, increased the number of employees. Defense24 experts added some explanations to the statement of the Russian Defense Ministry. First of all, they recalled that the Solnacek Tos-1A is a flame-ding system of volley fire, capable of shooting thermobaric ammunition at a distance of 6 to 10 km.

Production increases indicate the efficiency of use on the battlefield in Ukraine. "This is the unpleasant news for Ukrainians for whom Tos-1/2 are very dangerous systems in conducting defense operations. Increasing production means that this type of weapon has proven its combat efficiency, and its production is still profitable,"-wrote on the portal. However, Defense24 noted that it is hardly a significant increase in release, although the Russians reported on an increase of 250%.

Approximately, it is a "several tens" and, more likely, 50 units than 90. At the same time, being 6-10 km away from the front line, the devices are achievable for Ukrainian FPV. Therefore, the Russians try not only to increase the issue of these installations, but also to provide them with additional protection, - experts explained. They did not tell what the defense implies. They only emphasized that the Russians continue to modernize.

For example, if the Solnacekek Tos-1A is created on the basis of the T-72 tank, then the Tos-2 is on a wheel basis, and the Tos-3 "Dragon"-on the basis of the T-80 tank,-says in Defense24. Meanwhile, Oryx analysts have estimated that during the two years of the Russian-Ukrainian War of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation lost 24 TSC-1A of 50, which had the Russians as of the beginning of the invasion.
