Iran processes the Tondar 69 rocket into anti -ship: what is the meaning of modernization

The ballistic rocket, which was developed as part of the Qadr project, was modified by adding the optical head of self -introduction. At the end of May, Iranian sources reported the military intention to develop an anti -ship ballistic missile to supply weapons to Yemeni Hussites. This step confirms the constant support of Iran's Hussite movement, both technologically and financially. About it reports Army Recognition.

Viewers write that Iran started working on the re -profiling of the Tondar 69 rocket on the anti -ship ballistic missile as part of the Qadr project initiated by the CVR Air Force. However, this project came across numerous difficulties, as conventional anti -ship missiles were usually winged with a direct trajectory, and ballistic missiles were intended to damage fixed purposes.

The Tondar rocket was modified by adding an optical homing head, which is able to bring in the target and transfer real -time images to the command center. It is noted that the development has undergone a series of trials, in particular, a successful launch was carried out on Lake Urmia, where the rocket was able to destroy the target, despite adverse weather conditions.

This success made it possible to use Qadr missiles when creating Persian Gulf and Hormuz missiles, which made it the first Iranian anti -ship ballistic missile. The observers also reported that Yemen had acquired a considerable number of SAM-2 anti-aircraft missiles, which were re-profiled into the "Earth-Earth" missiles "Qaher 2 and Qinger 2M, which were successfully applied against the Saudi troops and their allies.

"This event illustrates the constant support of Iran's Hussites Iran in recent years, which is not only in comprehensive support, but also in the transfer of technologies to expand the possibilities of allied groups," the authors of the publication summed up. Earlier it was reported that the Iranian Corps of Guardians of the Islamic Revolution launched two ballistic missiles from starting installations, disguised as ordinary marine containers, which were placed on board one of the ships.
