In occupied Crimea, 90% of the stories received Crimean Tatars, such mobilization can lead to genocide - human rights activists

In the occupied Crimea, 90% of the stories received Crimean Tatars, such mobilization can lead to genocide, Crimeos said in the NGO. “According to preliminary estimates, about 90% of stories in Crimea received Crimean Tatars. At the same time, the Crimean Tatars make up 13-15% of the population of the peninsula, ”said Crimeos Analytist Yevgeny Yaroshenko. Video of the day, according to him, such scale of mobilization can lead to a hidden genocide of the Crimean Tatar people.

According to international law, one form of genocide is the deliberate creation of such living conditions that are designed for the complete or partial destruction of the ethnic group in the presence of intent or partially destroy such a group. Yaroshenko noted that the Crimean Tatars are citizens and indigenous people of Ukraine, whom Russia can be purposefully destroyed by Russia by throwing a war against its own state.

The call of residents of the occupied territories to the ranks of the occupying army is prohibited by Art. 51 IV of the Geneva Convention and is a war crime. A separate military crime is the forcing Ukrainian citizens to participate in hostilities against their own state. In the evening address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Kyiv has evidence that the occupying power in Crimea was trying to mobilize the Crimean Tatars to participate in the war against Ukraine.
