Air Intelligence Specialist Yuri Kasyanov believes that laser guns will not be able to work in bad weather, and in terms of complexity of production compared them with nuclear bombs. In addition, the Dragonfire weapon system has its restrictions, which will not be able to make it the perfect solution to all the problems that have accumulated in the war zone in Ukraine. And one of these weak points is the inability to work in difficult weather conditions. And in these conditions, the laser weapon does not work, "Yuri Kasyanov said. The expert also pointed out that Ukraine is far behind technological terms from Britain, so it will not be able to develop and launch a laser system in mass production now. "It takes a few years of work and tens of billions of dollars. It is a project that is not even on the teeth of the same Britain, if we talk about mass production.

In its difficulty in production, this task is on a par with the production of nuclear weapons," Yuri Kasyanov emphasized. The military reminded that the priority of the Armed Forces fighters is now completely different equipment. Ukrainian defenders on the front need mass production equipment - locators for the detection of drones, firing guns, machine guns for the fight against drones and pump guns that knock down drones.
