The violent resettlement of Ukrainians to Russia is a military crime - Human Rights

According to human rights activists, Ukrainians have faced many abuses by the Russian Federation, trying to flee from Mariupol to Ukraine or leave to other countries. The filtration procedure was punitive and offensive. Since the beginning of the large -scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, Russian representatives resort to the violent movement of Ukrainian citizens. People are taken to either other territories under Russian occupation or to Russia itself.

It is equivalent to military crimes, Human Rights Watch said in its report. Human rights activists recalled that although prisoners may move the enemy territory during military conflicts, the violent export of civilians is prohibited by international humanitarian law as well as the laws of war. Human rights activists have warned that such practices can be investigated as war crimes or crimes against humanity.

According to HRW, most representatives of the Russian Federation took out the residents of Mariupol and Kharkiv region. In most cases, the Ukrainians have put pressure and reported that they allegedly had no other way out, indicated in the HRW report.

Ukrainians faced many problems and abuses from the military of the Russian Federation, when they tried to escape from Mariupol in the territory under the control of Ukraine, tried to avoid moving to the Russian Federation or when trying to leave Russia. Many citizens of Ukraine were taken from Mariupol through the areas where fierce fighting clashes. They were subjected to inspections and interrogations at the checkpoints of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

In Russia or in the occupied territories, Ukrainians were subjected to so -called filtration. The occupation administration gathered from the citizens of Ukraine personal information and biometric data, all data from the phones were copied, personal correspondence and publications were reviewed on social networks. According to human rights activists, this procedure was punitive and abusive.

Due to suspicion of possible relations with Ukrainian military citizens, they sent to the so -called "DNR", after which many people who got there were not any information. The Ukrainians who were taken to the Russian Federation demanded that they sign under the documents and thus declare that they were witnesses of the Armed Forces. According to the Government of Ukraine, about 1. 6 million Ukrainians were forcibly transported to Russia during the war.

Recall that the residents of the temporarily occupied Mariupol staged the first hungry riot after the Red Cross canceled the distribution of food. Those who wanted to get humanitarian aid were more than expected, causing protests to flash. Earlier, Focus reported that Moscow was threatening the invasion of Moldova. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov stated that threats to "peacekeepers" in Transnistria will be regarded as an attack on the Russian Federation.
