The Russian army has increased the pace of offensive in Ukraine - Estonia intelligence (maps)

According to the head of the Estonian Intelligence Center Ants Kiviselga, the most activity was currently observed in the directions of the robot and Verbovo, where Russia is trying to advance. The intelligence of Estonia's defense forces came to the conclusion that the Russian army is currently holding the initiative on the battlefield in Ukraine, and the pace of offensive operations of the enemy began to grow again.

This was stated by the head of the Intelligence Center for Forces of Estonia forces, Colonel Kiviselg, at a briefing on Friday, March 8, reports ERR. According to a representative of the Estonian intelligence, the activity of the Russian forces was still gradually declining, but over the last week it began to gain momentum again. This trend is especially true of the Land Forces.

However, he noted that despite the increase in the rate of operations, the operational and tactical goals of the Russian Federation remain unfulfilled. Kiviselg emphasized that Russia focuses on the identification of possible "weaknesses" in the defense of Ukraine, mainly in Lugansk (Kupyansk - Kreminna - Svatovo) and Donetsk (Bakhmut and Avdiivka) directions. According to him, in both these areas, the armed formations of the Russian Federation advanced.

"Fortunately, this happened on a very limited scale. There is some advancement in the Bakhmut area in the northwest and west. There were no significant changes in the front at the Avdiivka area," he said. According to the chairman of the Estonia Defense Forces, in the south of Ukraine, in particular in the direction of Zaporozhye and Kherson, as in the previous week, the lower activity of hostilities was determined.

"The greatest activity was observed in the directions of the robot and Verbovo, where the Russian Federation tried to advance," Kiviselg assures. He added that on the left bank of the Dnieper, the Armed Forces of Ukraine still hold the bridgeheads created there and reflect the attacks of Russian invaders in the area.

We will remind, analysts of the Institute of War Study of March 7 reported that according to Lithuania intelligence, Russia can support the current rate of war in Ukraine and will probably be able to gradually increase military potential in the near future. In addition, according to consciousness, the Russian Federation has resources in terms of personnel, material base and necessary finances - this makes it possible to support the military campaign in Ukraine in the near future.
