"Optimistic Forecast": Macron negotiates with Switzerland on weapons re -export for the Armed Forces

According to the President of France, Ukraine should not weaken, despite other conflicts, in particular in the Middle East, so a decision was made to negotiate with the authorities of Switzerland. France is in the process of diplomatic discussions with Switzerland on the possibility of reviewing the conditions of supply of weapons for Ukraine. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron during a visit to Switzerland, Ukrinform reports.

Macron emphasized his respect for the neutral status of Switzerland and, at the same time, to her clear diplomatic position in support of Ukraine. "As for the existing debate, it is not about export, but the re -export, and France is open to such cooperation," he said during a joint press conference with the participation of Swiss President, Alena Berce, answering journalists' questions.

Macron made an optimistic forecast for current negotiations, noting that they, in his opinion, would allow Switzerland's neutrality with its possibility of re -export of weapons. "It (support of Ukraine, ed. ) Should not weaken, despite other conflicts, in particular in the Middle East. As we have long recognized, Russia should not win in this war," Macron stated. We will remind, on August 22 it was reported that Switzerland is investigating the attempt to sell 100 tanks Leopard.
