Tankers' pictures in the sea show that they went empty in Russia and returned to the loaded. The first flight documented by Open Source Centre took place on March 7, 2024, seven months after the first reports of the supply of North Korean ammunition. The last is November 5. "This permanent inflow of oil gives North Korea stability that it has not seen since the sanctions have been imposed," said Senior Analytist Open Source Centre Joe Bern.
Journalists recalled that North Korea is under the sanctions of the UN and is forbidden to buy more than 500,000 barrels of oil a year.
