Mobilized on outdated technology: in Britain assessed the state of the Russian army

According to a military adviser to the British delegation in the OSCE Ena Stabbs, the size and composition of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is now close to the state of February 24 last year, but then the Russian group consisted of professional soldiers and was better equipped.

The Russian Federation was unable to achieve military success in Ukraine, having a professional army at the beginning of a full -scale invasion, and now it has mobilized reservists equipped with outdated equipment. This was stated by a military adviser to the UK delegation in the OSCE Iien Stabbs at a meeting of the Security Cooperation Forum in Vienna, Ukrinform writes on May 18.

"The current Russian unified grouping of troops (OUV) looks similar in size and composition to the invasion forces of February 24 last year, but it is not so. This grouping consisted of professional soldiers, was mainly equipped ", - said Stabbs. The military adviser noted that the professional Russian army could not achieve strategic and operational goals in Ukraine.

According to him, now the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "consist of poorly prepared mobilized reservists and are increasingly relied on outdated equipment. " Stabbs also claims that the Russian Federation was unable to provide an advantage in the air over Ukraine, mentioning the accident of four units of combat aviation over the Bryansk region. In his opinion, the current Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will not be able to succeed where well -trained and experienced military.

"Russia must realize that it will never be able to win in Ukraine. If it continues to fight, it will continue to lose," - summed up Stabbs. It should be reminded that on May 15, during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the UK, the beginning of Ukrainian pilots at Western fighter jets was announced. In addition, on May 15, Richa Sakak, Prime Minister of the UK, said London will transfer hundreds of new drum drones to Kiev with a radius of more than 200 kilometers.
