From the technical point of view, "Dozor-B" has a number of differences from its predecessor, which influenced its characteristics and accordingly on its place in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there is a domestic armored car "Dozor-b", which has passed a 10-year evolution to achieve the production stage.

In detail about this machine and its differences from the predecessor "Doors-A", which has not found its buyer, told the correspondent Army Inform, a researcher of military equipment, Doctor of Historical Sciences Andriy Haruk. Throughout its evolution, "Dozor-B" has received many improvements. The first prototype, created in 2004, was shown at international exhibitions, but it had no commercial success.

In 2014-2015, a new version with an increased fuel tank, a modernized navigation system, powerful winch and additional equipment was developed. Thus, from the technical point of view, "Dozor-B" has a number of differences that have influenced its characteristics and accordingly on its place in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the specialist, the technique is a two -leveling all -wheel -drive armored car with hood.

The housing is divided into two compartments: motor-transmission and crew compartment. In the motor-transmission compartment there are engine, transmission, steering, braking and air conditioning systems. The crew compartment includes driver, commander, shooter, as well as 6 people. The body is equipped with an armstall arms steel 500, which protects against armor-piercing balls from a distance of 30 m and fragments of 152 mm shells from a distance of 50 m.

Inside the armor is additionally reinforced with Kevlar. The bottom of the housing has a rounded shape to improve mine protection, but this parameter remains a weak link of the machine. Dozor-B motor installation installed Deutz BF 4M 1013 FC diesel engine with a capacity of 190 hp. With a hydromechanical five -speed Allison Lct 1000 gearbox. Although alternative engines were considered, all Deutz motors were used on all models.

Options for the weapons "Dozor-B" was equipped with various types of weapons, in particular: an interesting project, continued Haruk, was the creation of a light jet of the heat -et system "Heat". It uses reactive RC-122TB shells with a thermobaric combat and shooting range up to 7 km. Other improvements were the automatic fire extinguishing system and the possibility of smoke curtains.
