Shark's plane against "Shahmed": As a new weapon of the Armed Forces will help protect the Ukrainian sky

According to the developer, Shark became the first serial model of this type in the army.

Its main weapons - the system of HR, which operates at several levels: thanks to this, the aircraft does not destroy the drone physically, but disorients it in the air - "Shahped" changes the trajectory, may fall or simply not reach the target. Such capabilities allow you to reduce the load on the air defense system and save rockets, which are ten times more expensive. The basis is Shark's serial aircraft, which was a civil sports model before adaptation.

But the technical characteristics are striking: in addition, Shark received a modernized Rotax engine with a reinforced generator that feeds mufflers and electronics. From an altitude of 1800 m, it is able to cover the area with a radius of up to 4. 5 km. The Armed Forces Commander Oleksandr Sirsky emphasized that light -motor aviation will play an important role in Ukraine's protection. Shark is only the first swallow: due to its effectiveness, it is planned to expand such platforms at the front.

According to the military expert Pavel Zrozhny, the idea to install a system of EWS on a light aircraft is not new. There are many such developments in the world. But to evaluate the effectiveness of such systems, in particular against" Shahaneda ", we need to understand the principle of operation of the drone itself,"-says the focus of the People.

In order to effectively protect the object (such as an infrastructure object or city) from Shahaneda, according to the expert, a minimum of 4 systems of EBs is required, and even five are preferably for greater reliability, which are located on four sides and muffle all sectors of reception. "But the problem is that the enemy is also adapting. Today weapons are already" chewed "with antenna by 8 or even 16 channels.

According to the expert, the development of an aircraft from the EW is correct and necessary, it increases our defense capabilities. But she does not solve the problem with Shahmed.
