"Survival Music": Rock band Gogol Bordello devoted a new album to the war in Ukraine

Musicians led by Kiev Eugene Gudzem made a remake of songs of victory songs with Sergei Zhadan and Kazka. The Gogol Bordello rock band released an album called "Solidaritine" dedicated to the war in Ukraine. About it writes The Village. The eighth album was posted by the artists on YouTube Music and Spotify.

It consists of 13 tracks, including the version of the song "Forces of Victory", recorded together with musician Sergei Zhadan, Kazka band and the vocalist of the American punk rock band Bad Brains-the original was published in 2007 as part of the album "Super Taranta!" . In addition, the collection included a cover for the Blueprint song Post-Hardcor for Fugazi. "It is a music of survival and perseverance. It has always been our main driving force," said Gogol Bordello founder Eugene Gudji.

- "The album really unites people of goodwill. We just want to give the world an eternal album with reports of human potential and power. " Ukrainian Eugene Gudz, native to Kiev, moved to the United States in 1990 and later founded the International Punk Guht Gogol Bordello. During his career, he has already released eight albums, the most successful of which became the second - Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike, presented in 2005.

After the start of a full -scale war in Ukraine, the team actively draws attention to it on social networks, and in April even devoted a song to territorial defense. In May, the group arranged a tour in support of Ukrainians and their new album, and in August Gogol Bordello came to Ukraine and spoke for servicemen. Earlier, the Italian rock band Maneskin posted a video in support of Ukraine.

The Eurovision winners with the help of Stand Up for Ukraine song have called on European countries leaders to provide serious assistance to Ukrainians in the fight against Russian aggression. In March, British singer Ed Shiran performed at a concert in support of Ukraine in Birmingham.
