Putin ordered the Armed Forces by March to fully capture Donbas - GUR

According to officer Andriy Chernyak, military intelligence has information about the transfer of additional equipment and personnel of the enemy to the east of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin has set a task to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to fully seize Donbas by March 2023. This was stated in an interview with Kyiv Post by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Chernyak.

According to him, the Kremlin did not give up plans for further occupation of the Ukrainian territories. In this context, Andriy Chernyak warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin had set a task to fully capture the Donbas by March 2023. Ukrainian intelligence has information that the occupiers continue to charge military equipment and personnel to the east, preparing, probably for a new large -scale offensive.

"We noticed that the Russian occupation forces redeploy additional assault groups, units, weapons and military equipment to the East. According to the military intelligence of Ukraine, Putin ordered the seizure of the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions by March," Chernyak emphasized in communication with journalists. A representative of GUR MOU also commented on media information that Russia could try to make a new land invasion from Belarus to seize Kiev.

According to the officer, the Russian Federation really uses a neighboring country to prepare its personnel, but the Kremlin today does not have enough troops to carry out such surgery. "Today there are no groups formed. There is no threat of involvement of Belarus in a full -scale invasion of Russia against Ukraine," Chernyak stressed.

The GUR representative added that even if the invaders do not make a new land invasion in the north of Ukraine, the command will still be forced to keep a certain number of troops in the border areas to resist the possible outputs of invaders. In the report of February 1, the Institute of War Study commented on a possible new offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

According to analysts, Vladimir Putin tries to challenge the Ukrainian army's attention to the northeast direction to carry out assault operations in other areas of the front.
