Ukraine asked the US to knock down rockets as over Israel: Washington answered "rigidly" - Politico

According to journalists, Ukrainian air defense officers reported that US ship systems could use the USA. In Ukraine, allies would have to place air defense on the western border and protect only the nearest territory. This week, the United States has launched an advanced air defense system and dozens of servicemen to protect Israel from Iranian ballistic missiles.

But such a level of military support for Ukraine is not observed, although Ukrainian settlements face Russian drones, missile and bomb attacks daily. Politico writes about it. In Kiev, this is called double standards. Last month, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky raised the question that if the Allies were knocking down missiles in the sky over the Middle East, then why there is still no similar decision on Ukraine.

On October 1, air defense systems and US and UK fighters helped to knock down hundreds of Iranian missiles, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine called on the Allies to defend the Ukrainian airspace with the same determination. But the reason why the United States is boldly operating in Israel and cautiously in Ukraine is clear that there is nuclear weapons in Russia, and Iran is not, notes the US publication.

"A tight answer that Ukrainians may not like to hear, but unfortunately, this is true that we can go risk and knock down Iranian missiles over Israel without provoked a direct war with Tehran, which can lead to nuclear wars, "a high -ranking representative of the US Senate, who works on Ukraine's politics, told reporters. According to him, if a similar approach was applied to Ukraine, there would be a "much more risk".

Baiden administration representatives expressed their view on the conditions of anonymity. The departure of US troops to Ukraine to knock Russian missiles can provoke a direct military clash between the two leading nuclear powers of the world against the backdrop of the largest war in Europe since the Second World War. In this case, the consequences can be apocalyptic, referring journalists to the words of representatives of the American leadership.

At the same time, in the Middle East, the United States can beat Iranian missiles over Israel and not provoke a war with an opponent who owns nuclear weapons. It is noted that Iran has improved his nuclear material to a level close to arms but did not try to create a nuclear bomb.

Mykola Beleskov, a researcher of the Ukrainian National Institute for Strategic Studies, stated that he is sad as an average citizen of Ukraine as a sad one, "when your country and citizens sacrificed in the Agreement on Escalation from Moscow. " Acting Chief of Communications Department of the Air Force Command Yuriy Ignat noted that partners usually report to the Ukrainian military about the movement of Russian bombers to fire positions.

"They tell us when and where the Russians prepare the attack," he explained. After warning, thousands of soldiers of intelligence, communications and mobile air defense units enter into battle. Ukrainian pilots are also activated in case of major attacks. Kiev wants Poland and Romania to actively intervene, both in cases where Russian drones are in their airspace, and when it happens above Western Ukraine.

Kyiv and Warsaw have agreed to discuss this opportunity, but yet Poland is not changing its policy on it. Warsaw clearly made it clear that it would not work without full support of NATO, and the Minister of Defense of Poland Vladislav Kosinyak-Kaysh stated that such support was not enough. He added that Washington also made it clear that he did not want escalation with Russia.

Kyiv hopes that the issue of helping in the prints of rockets and drones over Ukraine will eventually be agreed, as Western artillery, tanks, missiles and fighters eventually appeared on the Ukrainian fronts, despite the fears. "There is a lively discussion on this issue, both in Poland and NATO," the Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky explained. According to him, the NATO border is in an intermediate state - "between the rules of peacetime and the crisis.

" But at the same time, he said that the Kremlin's intentions were unclear so far. Some of these cases pose a danger to Poland citizens, it is believed that the Russians are testing and watching how far they can go. "I suspect that with so many drones and rockets they just lose their control over them," Sikorsky explained.

Ukraine's leadership wants the Allies to act, as in the case of Israel, but two Ukrainian air defense officers have said that it is easier to knock down missiles over Israel than above Ukraine. Israel is a small country, which means that the US can use its air defense systems. Ukraine is large and inaccessible to the Western fleet. Allies would have to place air defense systems on the western border of Ukraine, and from there it is possible to protect only the nearest territory.

"NATO members, engaging in Ukraine's air defense, will have to make a much greater contribution, in a greater territory, with a greater risk of" entry into the war " defense research. He added that in the case of Ukraine, the price of the issue will also be higher, since the frequency of Russian attacks is much higher than the tangible but impulsive attempts of Iran's direct blow to Israel.

It is possible that NATO countries would also have to fly on fighters over Ukraine, which can lead to direct clashes with Russia - which is exactly what the White House is trying to avoid. In order for such efforts to be as effective as possible, the Western forces will probably have to strike direct blows on Russian aircraft and/or oppress Russian radars and lads.
