Russia controls 27% of Ukraine: Zelensky commented on negotiations and "territories exchange"

The breakthrough in the Kursk region will not be used to exchange territories for the sake of a peace agreement with the Russian Federation, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. The head of state emphasized that Ukrainians do not need a foreign territory, and control over the Kurchyna is needed for victory. Ukraine will not negotiate peace by losing its own territory. Russia occupied almost a third of another country, with Ukrainians never encroached on foreign lands.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told about how Ukraine will operate in the conditions of occupation and whether "territories exchange" is possible during the press conference on August 27. Zelensky stated that Russia plans to occupy all 100% of the Ukrainian territory, and today it has already seized 27%. At the same time, the breakthrough of the Armed Forces in the Kursk region does not really mean that Ukrainians somehow claim a stranger.

According to the President, the Kursk operation is "not related to the points of the formula of peace", but is related to the victory of Ukraine. "We do not join anything to our country, we do not change the legislation and the constitution. We do not need unnecessary alien lands," the politician emphasized.

The head of the state also answered the question of the possibility of "exchange of territories" between Ukraine and the Russian Federation: such exchange is mentioned in the context of "peace talks". According to him, this option is rejected. At the same time, the politician emphasized that the further course of events depends largely on the actions of the Western partners and the weapons they will provide.

Separately stopped on US assistance: it will come soon - after the end of the cadence of Joe Baiden. "I am not ready to exchange our territories within any negotiation," Zelensky said. It should be noted that on August 27, a number of other statements of Ukrainian politicians and military were heard. For example, Zelensky reported that on August 26, the first use of F-16 fighters against Russian missiles took place. He did not tell any details about the efficiency of "hunting".

At the same time, the Air Force report says the performance of the Armed Forces: 80% of all missiles launched by the Russians in the Ukrainian ones were able to knock down on August 26. The Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrsky, meanwhile, told about the break in the Kursk region: he reported what forces the Russian command had transferred there. The Ukrainian military, in turn, confirmed that the Armed Forces had to depart from important positions 8 km from Pokrovsk.
