"Continues to burn": new satellite images from the Atlas oil depot after the UAV attack (photo)

Despite attempts by rescuers, the object in the Rostov region continues to burn and the fire is thrown into the nearest fuel tanks. In this case, firefighters do not have enough special devices for extinguishing. On the night of August 28, the Atlas oil depot was attacked in the Rostov region, which is part of the "Rosreserv". Firefighters could not cope with the effects of the impact for many hours. This is evidenced by new satellite images that Radio Liberty shares.

The frames, which were made yesterday several hours after the previous ones, show that on Wednesday the fire continued to spread the territory and spread to the third fuel reservoir. "Satellite images show the spread of fire by the territory of the Rospezer oil depot near the Astakhov farm in the Rostov region. The data of the NASA FIRMS system, which tracks fires on the surface of the earth, indicate that on Thursday, the oil depot continues to burn," the statement said.

Radio Liberty wrote separately that local media wrote about another problem that the Russians encountered as a result of attack. Firefighters are not enough to extinguish special devices that feed foam to neutralize burning fuel. The head of the administration of Kamyansk district of Rostov region, Vladimir Savin in his Telegram-channel wrote that a mode of increased readiness was introduced in connection with the fire after the UAV attack.

"Emergency specialists are fighting the fire around the clock. The necessary assistance is provided by the regional authorities, I am on the spot myself, other heads of the district and local administration," Vladimir Savin wrote. He noted separately that the locals organized transportation of water and products, and the situation was allegedly under control. "There are no threats to the spread of fire to the nearest settlements," - summed up the head of the administration of Kamyansky district.
