The Russians will "erase" two large cities: the expert warned of new threats

Share: The Russians continue to make attempts to advance towards the Dnieper and Zaporozhye. Provided certain successes are achieved at the front, Zaporizhzhia in particular can expect the fate of Kherson, which is under constant attack by the Russian Armed Forces. The Russian army continues its offensive on Zaporozhye and tries to cut the Pavlograd-Pokrovsk highway.

Also, the enemy has already penetrated 17 kilometers deep into the Dnipropetrovsk region, due to which the settlement of Pokrovske may be under threat of occupation. Ivan Stupak, a former employee of the SBU, said this in a comment for the Glavkom publication. The expert emphasizes that it is still too early to talk about the Russian offensive on the Dnipro.

However, at the same time, we should be prepared for the fact that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation may deploy such actions, Stupak believes. "So far, the Russian army is moving parallel to the coast of the Sea of Azov in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. This movement may continue. In the same way, the Russian offensive may turn in the direction of the city of Dnipro," the expert noted. As for the threat to Zaporizhzhia, the Russian army wants to capture the city of Stepnohirsk.

It is located on a high ground, and if the Russians are able to realize their plan, they will be able to attack Zaporozhye from there. "Then the same thing awaits Zaporizhzhia as Kherson, where it is impossible to stay due to constant shelling: the city is empty, FPV drones are hunting people, there is constant artillery shelling," Stupak said.

According to him, despite the absence of threats of occupation of Zaporozhye and the Dnipro, the Russians can follow their old ways and destroy the cities. For them, the destruction of residential buildings has something like "sporting interest", the expert noted. Instead, as Ivan Stupak said, the fate of Bakhmut and Avdiivka awaits Pokrovsk, with reinforced concrete ruins, bodies and tens or hundreds of thousands of unexploded ordnance.

However, there are two things that the Russians will do primarily for propaganda purposes, the expert believes. First of all, they will plant their flag in the city and return to it the Soviet name of Krasnoarmiysk. We will remind, on September 11, the network showed footage of the arrival of the Russian military in Pokrovsk on cars and motorcycles.
