The rocket strike in Kiev was caused by bombers from the Rostov region - the Armed Forces

According to the AFU spokesman Yuri Ignat, the enemy used the X-101 and X-555 missiles, which were launched from the Tu-160 and Tu-95 strategic bombers. The rocket strike in Kiev, caused by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the morning of October 18, was carried out by missiles X-101 and X-555, which released six strategic bombers from the Rostov region. This was stated by a spokesman for the Armed Forces Command Yuri Ignat on the air of the national telephone.

According to him, the Russian military decided to use strategic aviation, including TU-95 and Tu-160 bombers to the task of blowing, since in this case the missiles are more likely to reach goals, unlike strokes from the Caspian Sea. "Six aircraft, each of them can have from 6 to 12 missiles. As expected, it is the objects of energy infrastructure of Ukraine. These are strategic trainers-rocket bombers from X-101 and X-555, which this time attacked from the Rostov region this time .

Because when the Caspian is attacked while the rocket flies at a speed of 900 km per hour, there is an opportunity to respond faster, and people go to shelter, "Ignat said. The spokesman also added that during the last attack, the planes flew closer and struck various areas. At the same time, the Ukrainian air defense system, which was able to destroy 4 caliber missiles, released from the Black Sea. However, it is impossible to knock down 100% of Russian rockets, unfortunately, Ignati explained.

Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko stated that explosions in the Desnyanskiy district of the capital were thundering in Kiev. According to him, the purpose of the enemy became the object of critical infrastructure. At the same time, at least three "arrivals" were recorded in the President's office. Later, Vitaliy Klitschko reported that due to a missile blow to Kiev in many residential buildings on the left bank, water and energy supply were partially restricted.
