The head of the ROC urged to stop hostilities from 12:00 on January 6 to 24:00 on January 7. The head of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Cyril called for the establishment of a Christmas truce from 12:00 on January 6 to 24:00 on January 7. This was reported on the official website of the Moscow Patriarchate. In his address, the bishop called the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine an internecine conflict.

"I, Cyril, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, appeal to all parties involved in the internecine conflict, calling for a termination of fire and establishing a Christmas truce from January 12. 00 to 24. 00 on January 7," - reports his words by the Russian Church. According to the Patriarch, this will allow the Orthodox believers to visit holiday services for Christmas Eve and on Christmas.
