Russian engineers forced planes to run and pick up drones right on the fly

According to the inventors, the system can be installed on fighters, bombers and other types of air transport. In Russia, it was stated to create technology that allows planes on the fly to produce and pick drones. The details reported the TASS news agency, citing a patent documentation provided by the Federal Institute of Industrial Property.

The Joint Aviation Corporation (UAC), which is part of Rostekh corporation, has patented a mooring knot that can capture and remove drones into the onboard compartment, as well as pull them out directly while driving. According to the developers, such a system can be installed on fighters, strategic bombers, transporters and other types of aircraft. In the inside of the cargo compartment is fixed a complex frame connected by a rotary element with a spatial frame.

It, for its part, consists of two parallel beams, fastened with arcuate transverse "ribs". The system is also connected to the system and the primary contact cone connected by a cable to the winding device. During the flight, the knot throws the frame towards the UAV and releases a rope with a special tip - the drone tends to it and gets caught with a pin, then drawn inside. Engineers say that drones should be equipped with a rope tension system to avoid swinging air.

When the UAV approaches the frame, the primary contact cone enters the mooring, and the capture is locked. After this procedure, the frame tilts, securing the locks on the drone. It is possible to release UAVs at any height, while it is fixed not by the pin, but by the mechanism of compression.

When the pilot fits the command for launch, the complex frame decomposes, the engines are launched and the drone wings are opened, and after checking all systems, the locks are opened and the device is in the air. Earlier, Russia boasted the invulnerability of the lancet drones before laser weapons. Experts explained why this feature would not protect the Russian UAV from the Armed Forces. It was also written that students were forced to collect drones for the military.
