Street fights in Bakhmut area: British intelligence pointed to the problems of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

The mobilized and poorly trained mercenaries from the Wagner group will not be able to conduct successful fighting in urban conditions. Since October, the Russians have won less than 200 square kilometers in the area, the UK Ministry of Defense noted. Mobilized into the army of Russia and poorly trained mercenaries from the Wagner Group will hardly succeed in street battles on the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. This was reported in the intelligence of the British Ministry of Defense.

"Given that this type of battle requires a well -trained infantry and a wonderful level of junior military leadership, the successes of the invaders are not guaranteed," the intelligence said. The Defense Ministry noted that the army of the Russian Federation and Wagnerivtsi had advanced in the last week on the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut. Russian infantry has apparently entrenched in industrial areas of the city.

Sometimes the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are moving to residential areas, street fights continue. The summary emphasizes that intensive fighting has been in the Bakhmut area since June this year. The front line was mostly open around the oriental trends to the city. "Since in July 2022, Russian troops entered Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, there were practically no protracted large -scale battles in settlements," the military concluded.

According to the American Institute of War Study, the rates of the onset of Russians in the Bakhmut area have not increased in the previous weeks. From October 1 to December 20, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation conquered just more than 190 square kilometers in the area. "Russian troops won 100 square meters in the Bakhmut area from October 1 to November 1 and 92 km.

We will remind that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy came to Bakhmut on December 20, it was his most dangerous trip to the front from the beginning of a full -scale war with the Russian Federation. The New York Times emphasized the tremendous differences between the military award ceremony, which was arranged on December 20 by the President of the aggressor country Vladimir Putin and Zelensky on the forefront in Bakhmut.
