Mobilization Act: Will the Women's Supports in the Army

Even women who are already on military registration during martial law can only be called up at their own request. According to the new mobilization law in Ukraine, which will come into force on May 18, women can call for service in the Armed Forces only with voluntary consent. About it reports "24 Channel". Also in the Law on the mobilization signed by President Vladimir Zelensky, it refers to gender equality in the army. The document states that women under the same conditions are admitted to the contract, call and are on an equal footing and perform military service and perform military duty. Women between the ages of 18 and 25 can also undergo basic military training, but only voluntarily.

Instead, men must undergo basic military service in the form of general military and professional training, which will last 3 months in wartime.
