Russia stands on recent cases of GPS muffling. There are three sources of obstacles: one in Kaliningrad, one more obstacles in Estonia and Finland, and the third - affects the northern territories of Norway and Finland. The Kremlin conducts a hybrid campaign directly against NATO countries. Uses GPS obstacles and tries to undermine military logistics in the Alliance. About it reports "Institute of War Study" in the summary of April 29.

The British edition of The Financial Times reported that the ministers of the Baltic States have warned that Russia was standing in recent GPS muffling cases, which prevented the operation of commercial navigation signals and forced two Finnair flights to turn back from Helsinki to Tartu. According to FT estimates, GPS obstacles have affected "tens of thousands" of civilian flights in recent months.

The British edition of The Sun also announced that the probable GPS suppression was touched by more than three thousand British civilian flights over the Baltic region, and British officials also believe that Russia drew up the satellite signal of the royal Air Force aircraft, which was British Defense Minister. Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna reported that recent GPS muffling cases are "part of Russia's hostile actions" and "hybrid attack".

Journalists believe that there are three sources of obstacles: one in Kaliningrad, another source causes obstacles in Estonia and Finland, the third active to the north and affects the northern territories of Norway and Finland. It is believed that one of the GPS mufflers, which interferes with Estonian flights, is located in Russia between St. Petersburg and Narva. ISW analysts have celebrated mass failures in GPS in Poland and the Baltic States since late December 2023.
