To spread: On the night of September 12, there was a massive attack of drones on the Russian Federation. In the Ministry of Defense, the aggressor country reported about the beat of 221 unmanned aircraft, most in the Bryansk, Smolensk and Leningrad region. The Ministry of Defense stated that 85 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down on the territory of the Bryansk region on the night of September 12. Above the Smolensk region, Russian air defense allegedly destroyed 42 drones, and 28 drones above Leningrad.

Also under the attack were Kaluga (allegedly shot down 18 UAVs), Novgorod (14 UAV), Orlovsk and Moscow (9 UAV), Belgorod (7 UAVs), Rostov and Tver regions (3 UAVs). One drone, the Russians seemed to be knocked down over the Pskov, Tula and Kursk regions. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobiangin reported a total of 9 destroyed drones that flew to the Russian capital for the night. According to him, emergency services work at the locations of debris.

Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz assured that there were no victims and destruction as a result of killing 85 drones over the region. Governor of the Smolensk region Vasyl Anokhin as of 7:18 stated that a massive attack was carried out on the region. According to him, 42 drones were successfully shot or supplied. "According to preliminary information, there is no victim and damage to the infrastructure," the Russian governor wrote.

Although the locals published a video with a large-scale fire, according to the OSINT Analytics of the Cyberbos Channel, at the Kardimovo oil depot in the Smolensk region owned by Lukoil-Centnefteproduct, Anochin did not confirm the fire. The governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko stated that in the region, because of the attack of drones, there were a fire at the port "Primorsk" on one of the ships and at the pomp station. According to him, as of 7:11, the fire was eliminated.
