According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborna, this is a third of all blocked Russian assets in Europe. "5. 5 billion out of 17 billion euros of Russian assets was frozen in Luxembourg as a result of EU sanctions after an attack on Ukraine," he said.

The official added that the sanction pressure on Russia will become even greater if in Moscow do not give up their plans to capture Ukraine. Asselborn also emphasized the importance of Europe's unity in this matter, and statements about the so -called neutrality of Russia's war against Ukraine are now unacceptable.
