China Defense: India has tested the tactical ballistic rocket Pralay (video)

The test launch of a tactical rocket was performed against the background of confrontation with China. India's Ministry of Defense claims that the Pralay Flight can reach 500 km. The Ministry of Defense of India conducted a successful test of a small range of Pralay on November 7. Although it was reported that all the goals were achieved during the trials, it is likely that it was rather a design tests with limited goals rather than operational.

This is stated in the publication of Bulgarian Military. According to the country's defense agency, the rocket was launched from Abdul-Kalam Island off the coast of the Eastern Odish state and successfully struck the educational goal in a given area. In total, the Indian armed forces intend to put on 370 Pralay missiles with a non -nuclear combat unit. Of these, 120 units will be delivered to the Air Force and 250 rockets will be delivered to India's land.

Moreover, the production on the duty of Indian missiles is connected with a "prolonged conflict with China. " "Against the backdrop of a continuing conflict with China, Indian Armed Forces are going to buy a Pralay ballistic missile capable of striking targets at a distance of 150 to 500 km," the message reads. The small range rocket is equipped with a solid fuel engine. It moves with a quasi -plate trajectory and can make maneuvers in flight by using a returned maneuvered apparatus (Marv).

This module enables the rocket to overcome the traffic systems about. The rocket can carry a useful load from 350 to 700 kg with a pre-formed fragmentation-fugitive warhead, penetrating-explosive and penetrating subbovita. Pralay is designed to defeat radar and communication facilities, control centers and modern airfields with conventional warheads. According to the developers, work is currently underway to increase the range of the system by several hundred kilometers.
