Farbid drones reduce the reserves of Russian fuel and make the occupiers remove ...

For blows to the refinery and airfields of the Russian Federation: how and where in Ukraine produce long -range UAVs (photo)

Farbid drones reduce the reserves of Russian fuel and make the occupiers remove the air defense systems from the front line. One of the factories collects with wingspan 2 meters, and on the other - install the engine and explosive. In the west of Ukraine, unmanned aircraft with a range of up to 800 kilometers for blows in oil refineries (refineries), aerodromes and logistics in the Russian Federation. The Wall Street Journal, who visited the factory, told how Ukrainian drones are made.

Prior to the start of a full -scale war, the plant owner led a business for the production of plastic containers in northern Kharkiv region. After moving to the western region, he worked in the field of railway logistics, but in the summer of 2023 he was approached by Ukrainian special services, asking if he could reproduce the prototype of the drone of a long -range. For this purpose, businessman hired several specialists who worked in the aviation industry during the USSR.

In two months, the team created two copies of the drone that passed the test. Currently, 75 people are working on the production line. After 11 hours of curing in the furnace, the parts are collected in a small aircraft with a wingspan of 2 meters. The engine and explosion are installed at another plant. The next task is to scale, as the plant can produce only one or two buildings of each type of drones per day.

To do this, the owner plans to expand the room and hire another 50 people to work in two shifts. In addition, it develops its own UAV model with a range of flight more than 1000 kilometers. According to journalists, drones of domestic production make it possible to attack Kiev in the deep rear of the Russian Federation in the conditions of restrictions imposed on the use of weapons delivered by allies. Drones are cheaper and more accessible than winged rockets.

They deprive Moscow income from energy exports, reduce fuel reserves for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and forces Russian invaders to remove the air defense systems away from the front line. The article states that Ukrainian officials declare the intention to produce thousands of drones of long -range. Against the background of the growing need for UAVs in Ukraine there were many startups-producers of drones.

It is unknown how many drones of far action Ukrainian enterprises are producing. One of the manufacturers says that in his plans to increase production up to 500 pieces per month to the middle of this year. The OSINT analyst H and SUTTON calculated 19 different models of drones used by Ukrainians for attacks on the Russian Federation.

"What Ukraine needs to do is optimize production and choose those drones that can be produced on a mass scale," said Samuel Bendett, unmanned aerial vehicles expert from the American Naval Analyt. Recall that according to Forbes of April 24, Ukraine also uses inexpensive balloons for Russian attacks, equipped with modern electronics, which discharge mortar bombs from high height and can increase the strategic shock potential of Kiev.
