The inhabitants of the Kurgan region of the Russian Federation are threatened by mass oncology: flooded Uranus mines - the media

The employee of the Russian Social and Ecological Union Andriy Ozharovsky warned that the concentration of uranium salts in the river would lead to an increase in diseases. Internal irradiation, which is much more dangerous than external, "absolutely inevitable". The flood in the Kurgan region of the Russian Federation flooded uranium wells. According to journalists, in this way, a solution of uranium could get into the Tobol River.

Agency writes about it, referring to the comments of environmentalists. Experts suggest that in the future it can cause an increase in a number of diseases. Published by the administration of the region, the map indicates that in the flood zone there are old wells "Voluntary". It is located between the villages of Zvirinoilovske, labor and knowledge. Ecologist Sergei Eremin believes that there may be an old well underwater, which "lasts 35 years".

Moreover, there is a risk that the water will get to the new wells that have been drilled above. Alexei Schwartz from the headquarters of Navalny in Kurgan had previously dealt with the problems of uranium deposits. According to him, the solution of uranium entered the water. "Uranium lived underground is not in the sarcophagus. For many years, the ore body was enclosed by clay layers and solid rocks of the Earth at a depth of 400 meters," he explained.

Hundreds or even thousands of wells were drilled for extraction and the natural sarcophagus was damaged. He also mentioned that when uranium enters the skin, there is a risk of oncology. The representative of the Russian socio-ecological union Andriy Ozharovsky, who specializes in the field of radioactive waste, warned that the increased concentration of uranium salts in the river would lead to an increase in diseases.

Ozharovsky noted that uranium is considered an alpha-active substance, and its entry into the body with drinking water threatens internal irradiation, which is much more dangerous than external. He noted that the river water will still dilute the solution - the concentration will not exceed the standards, while collective doses for residents of the region will increase. The fact that someone will receive the disease, the specialist calls "absolutely inevitable".

The "voluntary" deposit is in the development of a company from the structure of "Rosatom". Eco -activists in the Kurgan region have tried several years to prohibit uranium production on it. Representatives of "Rosatom", in turn, are of the opinion that eco -activists prevent the extraction of "strategic raw materials". Recall that "Radiation leak" has led to a state of emergency in Russian Khabarovsk.
