Enough already. US restricted the sale of high -tech chips to Russia and China

Baiden's administration has introduced new restrictions on export of complex computer chips to Russia and China. High quality graphic processors that provide supercomputers and artificial intelligence came under the restriction. The restrictions relate to NVIDIA and AMD companies. Their graphics cards are commonly used for rendering images in video games, installation of video and mining, but in recent years they have often been used to work supercomputers.

Video of the day is a new part of the Cold War between the US and China for primacy in advanced technologies, notes Nytimes. Despite the fact that China produces its microchips and graphics cards, it depends very much on the Taiwan plants for the production of the most advanced models. He then used these chips to create his supercomputers and develop artificial intelligence models.

The US government requires companies to receive export licenses for the sale of its best graphic cards - NVIDIA A100 and AMD Mi200. In this way, the US government hopes to interfere with the redirection of chips to Chip and Russia for military purposes.
