From Donbass to Lviv: in Britain, they told what weapons of the Russian Federation beat in Ukraine in winter

The occupiers tried to damage the objects of regional energy, but the energy network of Ukraine supports the stable operation of the network, told in British intelligence. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked Ukrainian infrastructure, in particular electricity, with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles during February. This was reported at the UK Ministry of Defense in X (Twitter).

"During February 2024, Russia conducted a campaign of unilateral attacks of unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukrainian infrastructure, including electricity," - the message reads. In intelligence, they said that despite the work of Ukrainian air defense, Russian drones were likely to cause damage to power plants and electric substations.

In particular, hostile attacks took place throughout the territory of Ukraine, damage was caused by regional energy infrastructure in Donetsk, Dnipro and near Lviv. The United Kingdom believes that the attacks of the Russian Federation could be caused by a combination of drones, land-earth missile systems and artillery, whereas, during 2022-2023, the occupiers used long-range aviation products for such attacks.

The Britain's defense department is convinced that the Russians tried to go to regional energy facilities to impair industrial activity in Ukraine. However, despite these attempts, Ukraine's energy network supports the stable operation of the network.
